Last Shopping Day Gift Ideas and What I Wore
I took these pictures a few weeks ago with the intention of using them in a future “how to layer” post. As if the undershirt, white button down blouse and leather jacket wasn’t enough, I decided to also stack on my faux fur vest. It seemed like a really great idea at the time, but when I reviewed the pictures, I looked like I was getting ready to play football or something. It was a total and complete fail and lesson learned. When you are layering your clothing (as you should be during this time of the year) try to stick with three layers only. That is all!
What I am Wearing:
White button down blouse (Old Navy)
Grey v-neck sweater (H&M)
Metallic silver pants (H&M)
Thigh high boots from JustFab.
Brown leather jacket (really old, bought in New York City somewhere)
Last Shopping Day Gift Ideas
I started my Holiday wish list posts last Monday and didn’t have time to post the other four items. Last week was just a little hectic and I had another important deadline to meet which took precedence. However, all is not lost TODAY is the last shopping day before Christmas and here are the missing items that I wanted to share last week.
1. DDF Revolve 400x Micro-Polishing System (Micro-Polishing System). These little face brushes are a miracle worker. I picked up the manual one from ulta this summer and I think this is part of the reason that my breakouts and enormous pores are in remission. I saw a demo for this specific face brush when I attended Cocktails and Couture back in September. I wanted one, but it wasn’t in my budget at the time. I am happy to announce that there is a special promotion going on right now through January 31, 2013 that allows you to get this great beauty tool for $45 (retail price $98). Use code: DDFMICRODERMA. I couldn’t resist the promotion and actually bought one. I will be doing a review on this in the next few weeks.
2. Hamilton Beach® The Scoop™ Single-Cup Coffee Maker. I need this in my life in the worst way. I am a big coffee drinker and sometimes I throw back 3 to four cups per day. It’s a really bad habit, I know. But I love the taste of it, plus it keeps me awake and alert. This is high up on my purchase list. ($59.99)
3. Leather Trimmed Moto Jacket. There is nothing that says bad ass and edgy like this jacket. Where was this number when I was prowling through the sales and clearance racks at Macys this past weekend? I might have to move that single-cup coffee maker down on the list. ($89.99).
4. Docking station for Samsung Galaxy. Like many of you, I gave up my land line in favor of my cell phone. I didn’t see the sense of paying two bills especially when my carrier was kind enough to offer me unlimited service because of my loyalty to them. The only problem is though that I leave my phone on silent everyday and then come home and I forget to turn it back on. Or I put it “somewhere” and then do a mad, frantic search for it when I need to make a call or hear it ringing. I think having a docketing station, would help me to manage my absented mindedness with my phone better. Plus, it charges and plays music through the speaker and will hopefully increase the volume of the chimes that comes in when I get a text. ($49.00)
