If you are serious about growing your blog, you should seriously think about attending at least one blogging/social media conference this year. In addition to meeting your favorite bloggers and networking with people who understand why you are blogging, there is a hell of a lot of information and resource that you can learn and access in a short period of time at one of these events. Last year I actually invested in three conferences: Bloggy Boot Camp (because I needed a solid foundation), the IFB Conference (because I needed to attend a conference in my niche) and WordCamp (because I needed more info on how to tame the beast that is WordPress). Last year, I also had the opportunity to attend Africa Fashion Week along with several other events that are specific to my blogging niche. I had a specific goal that I was trying to accomplish last year with my blog so my investment was very heavy last year. However, take the time to review each conference below to find the one that is right for you. Hi Yong, I would definitely recommend WordCamp. That one is everything WordPress. If you are new to blogging and you are looking for something that will give you a good overview, I would recommend the Bloggy Boot Camp. I hope this helps.

i emailed the Texas Style Council’s organizer a couple of weeks ago and she responded saying the 2013 event was “up in the air” and to check the Facebook page for updates. the twitter account has been dormant since last year’s March 2012 event. we shall see how it unfolds.

I think Texas Style Council Social Media Conference, those dates are for last year? If you go to their website, the 2012 agenda is still posted which started on Friday March 9th.

You are correct. It looks like they are trying to schedule it for 2013 so that it doesn’t clash with the SXSW. I will make the update on my blog. Thanks a million for pointing that out. This actually is great news for fashion bloggers. Their conference looks like a really worthwhile investment and if they are moving it to a later date, this just might be the one conference that I will attend this year.
