These blue suede (or whatever suede’s cheaper cousin is) boots have been sitting in my closet for the last two years. I found them for some insane low price on Target.com way back when I was trying to add something other than black to my shoe collection.
I think the reason this one never left my closet was 1) because it honestly makes my legs look shorter (not in this outfit); and 2) it has no heels and I have flat feet which means I have a chronic case of plantar fasciitis. By the way, ankle length hem pants like the printed one seen here (scored recently from the Limited for like $10.00 before tax) seems to look best with ankle boots.
I think I am ready for an upgrade, preferably something that has a little bit more of a heel and would therefore provide a little bit more support to that spot on my feet where my arch was supposed to develop.
This western style ankle boot available at Aldos is very similar to the one that I have now, but has a little bit more of a heel. The price isn’t bad either, $54.98
I really like this “zipcode code boot by Madewell”, but the price, my goodness the price! $158 (sale price)
If I decide to splurge though, I would rather shell out the cash on these deep blue suede Coachella 6 ankle boot from Opening Ceremony. Isn’t it gorgeous? Apparently a lot of people thought so too because it is not available, not in my size anyways. This one is on sale for $143.86. Original price $479.53 (yikes!).
