Happy New Year’s!
I can’t believe 2013 is here already. I am actually looking forward to moving into Natasha 4.0 and accomplishing the new goals that I have set for myself for 2013. I am not going to bore you with the details of what those goals are. Most of them are the usual suspects which is more than likely the same as yours: weight loss, growing the blog and upping my domestic skills (i.e. I need to work on my neatness). Ok, maybe that last one wasn’t on your list, but after entering some less than tidy situations this year, I decided that I needed to make a greater effort in my own home.
As you realized, I took a little blogging hiatus last week. I had to. My brain was fried and I needed to take a break from everything. I didn’t get the chance to share what I was wearing in last Thursday’s New Year’s Eve Style Inspiration post, but wanted to back track to this Anne Klein dress that I found on the clearance rack at Macys.
I played with a lot of patterns and wanted to experiment with texture for the new year. I thought this dress was perfect. It’s thick, I realize this will have to go to the cleaners, that I can only wear this in the winter, and I am ok with that. When I brought the dress to the register, the cashier offered me the coupon hook-up but after she ran the price tag through the scanner she looked at me and gave me the side eye. According to the Macy’s site, the original price of this Anne Klein, cap-sleeve lace sheath dress is $139. The dress is on sale for $69. The dress on the clearance rack was marked down to $35! I didn’t bother to remind her about the coupon discount and she didn’t remind me either. I paid and went on my way. This was one of my best clearance rack finds!
