What I Wore: Chambray and Leather

Disclosure: PURCHASED BY ME |  PRESS SAMPLE

Spring has been off to a very slow start here in the northeast, but it was actually warm enough early last week for me to break out shorts and open toe shoes. I took advantage of the warm day by pairing my chambray blouse with my leather shorts. You don’t already have one, the chambray denim button down blouse would be a great addition to your spring wardrobe. It’s honestly a fashion blogger cliched statement piece, but I love its versatility and it has become a staple in my closet. It not only looks great with leather, but it also looks great tucked into a circle skirt, and is a great neutral piece for bright and patterned skirts or pants. It can also be styled like a cardigan and looks great tucked-in, or fully buttoned, as shown here.

Leather is also another must have for your closet.  It is such an unbelievable versatile piece. I’ve worn this one in the warmer months and with tights in the winter.

    • Lol, yes I was going for an ombre effect with the polish. Early out of the blogging gates I invested in a pair of Jeffrey Campbell shoes. I really liked them. I didn’t buy them because I was building my blogger creds. I rarely feature them on here for that reason though. But yes, there are some things that it seems that most bloggers own. Jeffrey Campbells, definitely the chambray shirt and a gold Michael Kors watch. (-:

  3. I love the look- the vegan leather shorts add such a modern edge to a classic ensemble.

    • Thanks Bella,
Sorry for taking so long to respond to this by the way. But a few of the comments on this post did not show up in my comment dashboard in WP. (-:

  4. Love the combo of chambray and leather Natasha! I certainly hope you are feeling better. I also wish I could be in shorts and sandals. It’s snowing here. Again. Ugh!!!

    • Hi Robin. I was doing fine (allergies), until I heard about the tragedy in Boston. I’ve been glued to my television all this evening, in disbelief. I was going to publish part 2 of my woes from last week tomorrow, but in light of the events of today, I’ll hold off for another few days before doing so.
