Plaxico Burress Launches Luxury Socks Line for Men

Following in the footsteps of Rob Kardashian, Plaxico Burress recently launched his own luxury socks line for men.  The Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver debut his socks line last week in a swanky New York City nightclub with New York City’s social elite and of course models wearing nothing but button down shirt and socks.

According to a report in the Business Insider, “[t]he Plaxico Burress collection aims to delve into the world of bow ties, cuff links and belts but began with what Burress called a long held passion.”  Burress also told the New York Times that he has been planning  his sock line from behind the scenes for years.

The socks will retail for $24 or more and will be available in select retailers next month just in time for father’s day.

So what do you guys think? Hit or Miss? Will you guys stick with the brown and blues?  Will you add these to your shopping list for father’s day? If you are a guy would you wear these?

    • I am the buy a dozen for $6.00 kind of gal, but that’s the white ankle socks type. Hmmmph, I guess the price tag isn’t bad when I think about it.

  2. Hmmm…..wish they were for women too!

    • Oh my goodness! I guess it would add a pop of color to see a print that bold sticking out from the bottom of my pants. I agree!

  3. I love when a man takes the time to consider a good sock. Usually the most adventurous is an argyle sock. These? These are wonderful! I’d buy them in a heartbeat if I thought my husband would wear them. Unfortunately, he’s a black sock / white sock type of guy.

    • I am keeping my eye on the area’s stylish men to see if this is going to catch on. I sure hope so! I love the look. After seeing these, black, white and argyle socks just seem so boring now.

I may not be considered legally “hip” enough to wear those types of socks but I appreciate the fashion sense for those that can pull them off!
