What I Wore: Argyle Checked Top and Orange Pencil Skirt

IMG_1947_OrangePencilSkirt
I stumbled onto this Girl Scout soiree during  a recent visit to the University of St. Joseph’s  West Hartford, Connecticut campus. There were a thousand little girls running around in the scorching heat with their parents, bounce around houses sprinkled across their expansive quad and food vendors everywhere. My first instinct was to leave, but I stayed, took photos with bugs bunny and tweety bird, sat on a tricycle, skipped through the grass with the other little kids all while wearing stillettos.

I left when the sweat started pouring down my back, but it felt good to be a kid again, even if it was for 45 minutes.

  1. Oh yes to be a kid again. . . Bugsy & Tweety were in good company. You look happy & great. Of course I love the orange skirt.

    • Thanks Neti. The orange skirt is one of the few things that I added to my wardrobe this summer. I love the material (no ironing) and it’s versatile in that I can dress it up or down.

  2. i don’t think you could’ve picked a better color-appropriate outfit for your outdoor shenanigans! i would like to get a skirt during my spending challenge and the cut of yours looks like it would work for me.

    • Donna. It was all purely coincidental, I swear. Lol!!! This is a pencil skirt with stretch material. I don’t remember exactly how much I paid for it, but it was under $30.

  3. What a fun happenstance! I love your preppy look today Natasha!
