How cute are these shoes? This is just one of the cut out ankle boots that I am obsessing and swooning over this week!

The Find: Cut Out Ankle Boots

Behold Jeffrey Campbell’s Everly and Coltrane and the more affordable spinoffs on the right.  I came across both of these cut out ankle boots earlier this week and thought they would be great for my 40-year old feet. They have low heels, are stylish and the Coltrane’s are a great choice for those of us who are in love with the edgy, punk inspired looks that is dominating fashion this fall.

 The Look For Less

I absolutely love the Everlys (top left). Karmaloop sells the grey snake skin Everly’s which look even better than the black ones pictured above. These Jeffrey Campbell’s will set you back $300 for the hardware covered pictured one above.  A more affordable option is Boohoo’s Verity Patent Mock Croc Cut Out Tassle Boot ($60 USD) (top right).

Ok the Jeffrey Campbell Coltrane’s (bottom left) are not new.  They are actually inspired from Balenciaga’s iconic block heel buckled shoe/sandal/boot (ok, I guess we can call them crossover footwear) and made its way around the 20-something blogosphere at the end of last year. I think they are one of the most versatile shoes that I have come across in a while. You can dress them up or down and you can wear them year-round (add sensible socks for winter).  I love these so much and bought a similar pair.

The Coltrane’s retail for $200 at Nordstroms. A more affordable option is Heels.com Penny Sue Envy which retails for $54.99.

Happy, responsible shopping!

  1. Damn. I’ll take one of each in every colour!

    • Aren’t they great? One of my relatives called and asked me where I found these ugly shoes from. Lol! I LOVE THEM! I have seen them in black, brown and black with the metallic accent. The white snake skin one though is the best I have seen. It’s high on my list for next months closet budget. (-:
