Review: Perlier Volcanic Thermal Spa Renewing Scrub

Perlier Volcanic Thermal Scrub

A big thanks to Perlier and iFabbo for providing me with a press sample of their Volcanic Thermal Spa Renewing Scrub.

Perlier is an Italian company who has, for the last 80 years, specialized in the manufacturing of products derived from the active ingredients of  medicinal plants. In 1972, the company expanded their operations to include the development of cosmetics. The Volcanic Thermal Spa Renewing Scrub is their latest product.

First and foremost, let me explain “thermal.”  The scrub does not heat up when you apply it to your skin. The product contains “thermal water” which is a  natural, alkaline water fortified with minerals and which is known to sooth sunburns, sensitive skin and more.

According to their site, the product contains micronutrients which were extracted from volcanic rocks. The micronutrients are essential and vital to the cells  and skin and the mineral particles work with the thermal water to stimulate regeneration in the epidermis while the finer powders smooths the skin.

This is a great scrub that I have been using since it arrived last weekend. It has a light fresh scent that I really love and I know the blue has nothing to do with anything, but visually it takes me to the shores of my native Jamaica and combined with its fresh scent, gives me the feeling that I am immersed in a spa of some sort. I massage it onto my elbows, knees and heels while I am in the shower.  The particles are big, but they are gentle and actually, invigorating. There’s no oil to leave any oily residue or film and washes away clean and without causing any slip hazard in my tub.  My skin is left feeling soft, smooth and soothed.

The Perlier Volcanic Thermal Scrub is 6.7 fl oz (200mL), can be found on HSN and sells for $25. Use the  iFabbo5 coupon code to receive $5 off your purchase.

  1. I love the beautiful blue color too! Looks relaxing and vibrant all at the same time, and very “spa” like!
