What I Wore: Houndstooth and Indigo

IMG_0304_Houndstooth

I stumbled on this bold, houndstooth patterned, knit shirt on the 75% off rack at Macys last week. With the discount and Connecticut sales tax, the final cost was under $10.

Despite the super low cost though  I made sure that I would be able to do a few things with it before cashing it out. $10 or not, there is nothing worse than taking home a sales item, stashing it somewhere and and discovering it months later.  Here, I paired it with my favorite Old Navy skinny jeans and my designer inspired high top wedge sneakers.  I think this will also look great with full skirt and or wide leg dress pants for work.

What I Am Wearing:

Top: NY Collection houndstooth knitted shirt from Macys | White high/low white cotton blouse from Ann Taylor | Bottom: Indigo wash stretch jeans from Old Navy  | Shoes: Designer inspired high top sneakers bought on eBay.

XoXo,  Natasha

  1. I recently bought a similar sweater with this very big houndstooth print on the front panel. I’m so short that it might have been a mistake as far as proportions go, but I LOVE wearing it, just like you with some skinnies … but I wear little booties with a bit of a heel. You look amazing in it! Strange the appeal this pattern has for so many of us!
(I’m taking the day to get around to blogs that I don’t get to see as often as some … and yours is a treat, always. One of my goals is to do this more often this year.)
    Have a grand week!

  2. Love a bold houndstooth print!
At a recent Macy’s fall fashion event they featured a gorgeous houndstooth dress by Jessica Simpson, and I’ve been searching for a similar large scale print since.
What a great find you have at an even better price!
