Some Holiday Gift Ideas for Last Minute Shoppers

IMG_9675_holidaygiftguide

Are you procrastinating the whole holiday shopping thing because everyone on your list already has everything? Well, if it’s the latter, I think I can help. I’ve been scouring the internet for the last few weeks. I’ve read every email that was sent to me from every PR person from every corner of the earth {you guys have no idea how much emails I get everyday} and some or all of these items should land on your shopping list somewhere. Here are 7 Holiday gift ideas for last minute shoppers.

Cut the cord and fly away with Tracks AIR. You’ll never have to hear crying babies on a flight again.

1)      Wireless headphones. Because we are all tired of getting caught up in the wires that are now part of our existing headphones and these headphones from Sol Republic {$199} are dope!

2)      Smart Watch – Dick Tracy fans are loving the age of technology that we are in. Here are a few of the smart watches which are available: Fossil Metawatch Strata {$199}; Sony Live View {$78} ; I’m Watch {$355}; iPod Nano {$149} inPulse Blackberry Watch {$149}; Samsung Galaxy Gear; Metawatch Frame; Pebble Watch; Pebble Steel; Cookoo;Martian G2G; Sony Smartwatch; Martian Victory; Martian Passport;  Sony Smartwatch 2 SW2; ConnecteDevice Cookoo; Moto360; LG G Watch; Apple Watch.

Capture

3) Chromecast – This 2 inch device turns any television into a smart tv when you plug it into any available HDMI port. Your choice of apps are however limited to Netflix, Youtube, Pandora and a few others but this game changer (sorry cable television companies) is under $40 and will make a great gift to any internet subscriber.

Backpack

4)   MindShift Gear Rotation 180 Panorama Backpack {$199}.I so needed this when I was traveling through Europe last year. There is a secret compartment which allows you to access the contents of the backpack without removing it from your shoulder. This backpack will make a great gift for your world trekker, camper or photographer friends or relative. I have a giveaway coming up on my blog for one of these coveted backpacks, the way…

Chamilia by Swavorski

5)      Charms– This would make a great group gift (i.e. like from employees to boss).I really like these colorful glass beaded ones from Chamilia by Swavoroski. Another option is Alex and Ani or Pandora brands which can be found in every single mall in America.

JackieCollins Cookbook

6)     A great cookbook or even a collection of hot sauce or condiments from around the world would make a great gift for a foodie friend or relative. One cookbook that I really like is “The Lucky Santangelo Cookbook” by Jackie Collins. She compiled all of the best recipes from her book’s famous fictional character, Lucky Santangelo. The recipes are actually quite simple and of course, tasty. Not sure what sauce and/or condiment to get. Let me recommend the following: Tahini, Chutney, Harissa, Jamaican Jerk sauce, and Pickapeppa Sauce!

7)  Ooops, the original number 7 was so chock full of ideas that I had to take it out and make it its own special post. {look for my post, “Gifts For Your Makeup Hoarding Friends”}

**BONUS**

Ok, since the original seventh suggestion is becoming it’s own post, a wireless cell phone charger is the new number 7. You know how we do everyday: Instagram, Facebook, internet all via our personal mobile devices. I don’t care what those manufacturers suggest. Battery life, thanks to all of these distractions, depletes very quickly these days. A portable phone charger is a great gift idea for this holiday season. I like Duracell’s PowerCase and PowerMat wireless charging pad ($119.95). This is a MUST HAVE for travelers, bloggers and social media enthusiasts.
