Shopping in the Berkshires at the Lee Premium Outlets

Lee Premium Outlets

Last Saturday, I had the opportunity to visit the Lee Premium Outlets that is nestled high in the picturesque Berkshire Mountains in Lee, Massachusetts. The outlet stores, are an hour from Hartford, Connecticut and about 45 minutes from Albany, New York and is located at exit 2, right off of the Massachusetts Turnpike.  There are only 60 or so stores at this outlet, but with brands like Chico’s, Calvin Klein, J Crew, Carter’s and the Estée Lauder owned Cosmetic Company there is a great selection of stores and popular brands to chose from. As guests of the outlet, fellow bloggers, Rosa Diana Abby Coufal and I were given the Simon Center (owners of the Lee Premium Outlet) VIP treatment and a tour of four of the outlet’s most popular stores.

We had the perfect day for exploring the hill top location. The sun was bright, there was a light breeze and the temperature was fairly warm for an April day up in the mountains. As we walked, I noticed a lot of families and tour groups and I thought the crowd was fairly decent for that early part of the morning. The campus has a small village like appearance and I imagined how lovely it must look during the winter holidays.

Lindt Chocolate

A few more steps, around a corner and then down a few stairs and we arrived at our first store, Lindt chocolates where we were greeted with samples of  chocolate infused coffee. We also had the chance to sample some their zest of lime dark chocolate, arabica excellence bar and their milk chocolate pretzel bar which I fell in love with at first bite.

Polo Ralph Lauren

Our next stop was at the Polo Ralph Lauren Store where we were handed a bag of sweet and delectable treats from the Harry & David store. Since we were all fashion bloggers, we got busy snapping selfies while we tried on their accessories and outer wear. There is that one vest that I didn’t buy that I am still feeling remorse about. But that’s part of the outlet mall shopping experience. You have to buy it when you see it!  Rosa Diana made no hesitation, however. She took advantage of the discounts and coupons and racked up in the Polo store.

Michael Kors

Our next stop was Michael Kors and from the looks of it, most of the people disembarked their bus tours and made a bee line to Michael Kors. I really enjoyed the collection of handbags and there were at least three of them including this sunny satchel that caught my eye. The store also stocks watches, perfumes, nail polishes and sunnies.

Food Court and That’s a Wrap!

Thats A Wrap at Lee Premium Outlets

We took a short break to drop off our bags and to check out the food court. After all of that walking, I loved the fact that there was an outdoor elevator to whisk us up into the building where clean restrooms, good food and chairs which allowed us to get off our feet awaited us.  We were offered a complimentary lunch at That’s A Wrap which serves specialty wraps, salads and sandwiches.  I went for the Turkey Melt made with roast turkey, 1000 island, bacon and swiss on a grilled panini. Maybe I was really hunger or maybe the sandwich was just that good, but I waxed it off in no time. I washed it down with a mango smoothie before settling in to learn more about my blogging colleagues and of course to update my social media accounts.

Coach Leather

After lunch, we took a shortcut between several buildings and down the hill to the Coach store where I actually made my first official Lee Premium Outlet purchase. I used my 50% discount to buy a Coach pouch signature pvc canvas leather khaki saddle Lanyard, badge ID credit card holder.  It was priced at $49 and I paid $19 after using my 50% coupon. Like the Michael Kors store, the Coach store seemed like “the” destination for tourists.

After we took our group photos,  we separated and shopped! I took advantage of my gift card and coupons and bought a printed top and an A-line skirt from Talbots which I will share in a future outfit post. I also bought two pairs of low heel shoes at the Nine West store to add to my growing flats and mid-heel shoe collection. I paid $79 for both, savings of $40.

It was a perfect day!
