Model Joan Smalls’ much talked about custom-blended violet, matte lipstick which she paired with a nude Vera Wang gown for the 2014 Met Gala red carpet was the impetus for her new collab with luxe makeup brand, Estée Lauder.
She loved the color so and called up Estée Lauder, who she’s a spokesmodel for and asked the brand to create a product. Smalls worked with the brand to create a line which consists of 12 ultra-matte lipsticks in shades that range from neutral to red to violet. She supermodel told Estée Edit that she preferred matte lipsticks because they weren’t too overpowering on the face
The Pure Color Envy Matte Sculpting Lipstick retails for ($30) and is now available on EsteeLauder.com.
