OLD SAYBROOK, Conn., (April 18, 2017) Saybrook Point is celebrating Mother’s Day with a delightful Mother’s Day brunch on Sunday, May 14. Held at the award-winning casual fine dining restaurant Fresh Salt, the exquisite cuisine features a variety of farm fresh salads, pasta, seafood and carving stations, along with waffles and omelets made-to-order and a Bloody Mary bar. Moms will savor the season’s freshest ingredients including Snap Pea Salad, Calamari Salad and Artisan Spring Greens with Heirloom Cherry Tomatoes and Lemon Herb Vinaigrette.
The carving station will feature a Black Angus Prime Rib and Nodines Smokehouse Glazed Ham. The Pasta Station will include Garganelli Pasta with Roasted Cherry Tomato Sauce, Rock Shrimp and Stonington Bay Scallops and Orecchiette Pasta with Italian Sausage, Broccoli Rabe and Cannellini Beans. Additional entrees to round out the feast include Beef Brisket with Roasted Corn and Poblano Polenta, Citrus Seared Swordfish with Saffron and Poached Fennel, Red Miso Glazed Chicken with Jasmine Rice and Vegetable Stir Fry, and Tomato-Roasted Fennel Cannelloni.
Dessert-lovers will also fall in love with the pastry chef’s Grand Desserts Display featuring more than 25 items from Saybrook Point’s bakeshop. Favorites include: Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce; Chocolate Cups with Grand Marnier Whipped Cream and Strawberries; Red Velvet Cupcakes; Chocolate Cupcakes; Raspberry-Caramel Tartelettes; Cappuccino Cheesecake; Panna Cotta Cups; Fog and Ricotta Tarts; Coffee-Hazelnut Pie; Lemon Meringue Pie; and Crème Brulee.
Seating for the Mother’s Day brunch at Saybrook Point begins at 11:00am and ends at 4:00pm.
